Getting started
Our Start here page is a short tour of the store, and Search & browsing tips shows the quickest ways to find music.
Printed sheet music, songbooks, method books and music gear: more than 135,000 titles from over 400 publishers, among them Hal Leonard, Boosey & Hawkes, Schott, G. Schirmer and Shawnee Press. Amadeus is an online store, not a publisher.
Call us at (619) 324-3160, email info@amadeussheetmusic.com, use our Contact page, or use the chat button on every page. Outside our working hours a call goes to voicemail, and we call you back.
Finding music
Browse the menu at the top, which is arranged by what you sing or play, or search for anything you know. Search & browsing tips shows how.
Many pieces serve more than one purpose, so a title can appear in more than one place in the menu. It is the same title wherever you find it.
Title, composer, arranger, publisher, a song inside a collection, or the item number on the back of your copy. Search & browsing tips has examples.
Use the filters beside any list: voicing, season and occasion, instrument, accompaniment, contest lists and more. Search & browsing tips shows how they combine.
Try the item number printed on your copy, or the composer or arranger. We don't carry titles that are out of print, or cassettes. If you still can't find it, ask in the chat or get in touch and we'll look into it.
Almost certainly. We carry far more than is online. Tell us the title, the composer and the publisher if you know it, on our Order for your group form or by email to info@amadeussheetmusic.com, and we will quote it. Out-of-print titles are the one thing we cannot promise.
Not online: the responsorial psalms and cantor settings used at Mass (OCP, GIA and WLP) are not in our online catalog. We can order them for you: use the Order for your group form or email info@amadeussheetmusic.com with the titles, and we will quote them.
Many product pages have sample pages in the picture gallery, and many have recordings under Listen, so you can hear a piece before you buy it. Some titles also have ScorePlay, a scrolling score that plays along with a recording.
Product pages suggest six related titles under You might also like. It is a quick way to find a companion piece or an alternative.
Ordering
Choral octavos have a minimum order of 10 copies. It's the publisher's rule, and it's a minimum, not packs of 10: you can order 10, 11, 12 or any number above. The cart applies it for you.
An octavo is a single choral piece printed as its own booklet, the standard format choirs sing from. Each singer usually holds a copy, which is why octavos are ordered in quantity.
On many product pages, a parts picker shows the other voicings and parts of the same piece, such as SATB, SAB, SSA and parts for instruments. Set a quantity for each one you need and add them to your cart together.
Not at this time. We sell printed music, books and gear, shipped to you.
Yes. Our catalog is refreshed every week with the publishers' new releases. A title that is announced but not yet in stock can be ordered now; we'll email you when it ships, and you can cancel any time before it does.
Yes, until we have placed your order with the publisher, which on a business day is usually within a few hours. Email info@amadeussheetmusic.com right away with your order number and what you'd like changed. After that the music ships from the publisher's warehouse and a change becomes a return; see How do I return an item? below.
California law requires a warning on certain products. Where it applies, the warning appears on the product page.
Shipping
We ship to US addresses only. Prices are in US dollars.
Shipping is charged by the weight of your order, at about what it costs us. Checkout offers Standard (USPS) and USPS Priority Mail, which is faster, with the price and expected delivery dates for each before you pay.
Your order ships direct from our supplier's warehouse, so it can take an extra day or two to leave compared with a store that ships from its own stock. If you need music by a firm date, such as a concert or a first rehearsal, email info@amadeussheetmusic.com the titles and the date before you order, and we'll check with the publisher and tell you what we find, usually within one business day.
Payment & tax
Credit and debit cards, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal. Schools, churches and other organizations can also order by invoice.
Yes. An Amadeus gift card, from $25 to $250, is emailed to the person you choose with your own message, on the day you choose, with a code to use at checkout. It never expires.
We charge sales tax where the law requires it, including on orders to California; any tax is shown at checkout before you pay. Schools, churches and other tax-exempt organizations: email us your exemption or resale certificate once, and we'll set your account so tax isn't charged on your orders.
Schools, churches and choirs that order regularly can arrange an account with us; email info@amadeussheetmusic.com and we'll talk it through. We don't price-match.
Schools, churches & organizations
Yes. The quickest way is our Order for your group form, which asks for everything we need: your titles and quantities, the ship-to address, a purchase order number and the date you need the music by. Or email info@amadeussheetmusic.com with the same details. Either way we'll prepare an invoice. If you'd like a quote first, say so and we'll send one. If your accounts office needs a W-9, ask and we'll send it.
Sales tax: in California, being a non-profit, including a church, doesn't by itself exempt a purchase. If your organization is tax-exempt, email us your exemption or resale certificate once, and we'll set your account so tax isn't charged on your orders.
Yes. Include your PO number in your email and we'll put it on the invoice.
The titles or item numbers, the voicing or part, and the quantity of each, plus your organization's name, the ship-to address and a PO number if you have one. Remember that choral octavos have a minimum order of 10 copies.
Returns, help & your account
No. Every order ships straight from the publisher, and the publisher does not take music back from us, so we cannot accept returns of music you simply no longer need. Anything that arrives damaged, faulty or not what you ordered is always replaced or refunded, shipping included: email us within 21 days with your order number. If something else has gone wrong, email us and we will see what we can do. The full Refund policy has the detail; the store's other policies are Shipping, Privacy and Terms of service.
Email info@amadeussheetmusic.com with your order number and a short note on what's wrong, with a photo if it helps. We'll send a replacement or refund you, whichever you prefer, and when the mistake was the publisher's or ours the return postage is on us.
Sign in with your email address and the 6-digit code we send you. If you use Shop, you can choose Continue with Shop instead. Either way you'll see every order you've placed with us. You don't need an account to order.
