Terms of service

These terms apply when you use amadeussheetmusic.com or buy from us. The store is run by Amadeus Sheet Music. By placing an order, you agree to them.

Our products

We describe each title using the publisher's own information. A cover or description can differ slightly from the edition you receive, because publishers update their editions. Some titles show a placeholder instead of a cover picture.

Prices

Prices are in US dollars and can change without notice. If we list a price in error, we contact you before your order ships, and you can go ahead at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

Availability

Stock information on the site is updated nightly from the publisher, not in real time, so a title can sell out after you order. If that happens, we email you within one business day, and you can wait for it or cancel it for a full refund.

Some titles are printed only when you order, or are between print runs, and take about 5 to 7 weeks to arrive. The product page says so before you buy.

Orders

Your order confirmation email means we have received your order. We then place it with the publisher, who ships it to you; our Shipping policy explains how. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if the publisher cannot supply a title or a payment is declined, and if we do, we refund you in full.

Minimum quantities

Some titles, mostly choral octavos, are sold only in quantities of 10 or more, because that is the smallest quantity the publisher supplies. The minimum applies to each title.

Payment

You pay when you place your order. Schools, choirs and other organizations can be invoiced by arrangement; an invoice is due 30 days from the date we send it.

We never add a subscription or any repeat charge to an order. Our email newsletter is separate, and you receive it only if you sign up.

Sales tax

We add sales tax at checkout where the law requires it. Being a non-profit organization does not by itself make a purchase exempt from California sales tax. If your organization holds a valid California resale certificate or exemption certificate, email it to us before you order; we keep it on file, as the law requires, and set your account so that tax is not charged on the orders it covers.

California Proposition 65

Some products carry a California Proposition 65 warning. Where one applies, it is shown on the product page before you buy.

Copyright

Printed music is protected by copyright. Buying a copy does not give permission to photocopy, scan or share it.

Your account

If you create an account, keep your password private. You are responsible for orders placed with it.

Limits on our responsibility

We are responsible for getting you what you ordered, or refunding you. As far as the law allows, our responsibility for any claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in San Diego County, California.

Returns, shipping and privacy

Our Refund policy, Shipping policy and Privacy policy are part of these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version posted when you place an order applies to that order.
