Privacy policy
Amadeus Sheet Music runs the online store at amadeussheetmusic.com on Shopify. This policy says what we collect, why, and who we share it with.
We share your details only with the services that fill your order, such as the payment processor and the carrier, and we never sell them.
What we collect
When you place an order, create an account or email us, we collect:
- your name, email address, and shipping and billing addresses
- your phone number, if you give one
- your school, choir or organization name and purchase order number, if you give them
- what you order, and your order history
- the messages you send us, including what you type to Aria, the assistant in the chat window
Payments are handled by Shopify's payment processing and its partners. We never see or store your full card number.
When you browse the store, Shopify collects information about your device and visit, such as your browser, your IP address and the pages you view, using cookies.
How we use it
To take and ship your orders, send you emails about them, answer your questions, prevent fraud, keep the records tax law requires, and improve the store. If you sign up for our emails, we send them only because you asked, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
Only those who need it to serve you:
- the publisher or distributor that ships your order, which receives your name, shipping address and what you ordered
- the shipping carrier that delivers it
- Shopify, which runs our store and processes payments, and sends our order emails and newsletter
- Anthropic, whose Claude model answers for Aria: what you type in the chat is sent to it to produce the reply, and we keep a log of the conversation to improve the answers
- Boost, which runs the store's search and filters and shows us what visitors search for
- Zigpoll, which runs the short surveys after an order
- Google, through Google Analytics and the Google sales channel, which show us in general terms how visitors find and use the store
- tax authorities, and others where the law requires it
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
The store uses cookies to keep your cart, run checkout, remember your sign-in, and show us in general terms how the store is used, through Shopify's own reports and Google Analytics. A banner asks for your consent to the cookies that are not needed to shop, and you can change your choice at any time from the Your Privacy Choices link in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, but the cart and checkout need them to work.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require, and everything else only as long as we need it.
Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you and to get a copy of it; to ask us to correct it or delete it; to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do not sell it); and not to be treated differently for using any of these rights.
To use them, email info@AmadeusSheetMusic.com from the address you used with us. We may ask for details to confirm it is you. Someone you authorize can ask on your behalf. We reply within 45 days.
Children
The store is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.
