Hold Fast to Dreams

Rosephanye Powell's stunning setting of “Hold Fast To Dreams” for SATB voices and piano exquisitely captures the essence of Langston Hughes' poetry. With delicate attention to the mood of the text, Powell emphasizes the significance of dreams and their power to inspire and motivate us. Commissioned by Choirs of America 2024 Nationals for Top Choirs at Carnegie Hall, under the direction of Dr. Rollo Dilworth, this piece is a testament to the transformative power of music and poetry. Excellent choice for high school, community, collegiate, and professional choirs.
