Solus Christus (from Solas)

Drawn from Heather Sorenson's larger work Solas, “Solus Christus” is a deeply poignant anthem that emphasizes the central truth of the Christian faith: Christ alone is our salvation. Exquisite in its writing, the music reverently cradles the broken body of Christ and closes with the haunting words, “by His stripes, we are healed.” Especially fitting for the Lenten season, yet suitable for any service centered on Christ's sacrifice, this anthem leaves a lasting hush in its wake. Flexible accompaniment options - piano, piano/organ, chamber orchestra, or full orchestra - allow it to shine in both worship and concert settings. (Organ Part is available as a free download.
