Ode to Peace

Here is a selection from Jill Gallina's Classics for Children Series. The music from Beethoven's Ninth Symphony (Choral) finale – “Ode to Joy” – is the basis for this ingenious partner song. In Ode to Peace Jill takes the beloved Beethoven melody and adds original lyrics with partnered melody. There are teaching and performance notes on the history of the Symphony, Level I brass accompaniment and a hopeful message of peace for humankind. This is ideal as a festival finale for kids and adults, combined choirs with brass, in schools and in churches, any program, any time.
