Malakhov's Sleeping Beauty

Imported from Germany's leading music print publisher, this high-quality hardcover book gives readers a rare glimpse into the world of German ballet and a production destined to make dance history. Nureyev used to call The Sleeping Beauty the “ballet of ballets.” Vladimir Malakhov, the dancer of the century, choreographed a sumptuous new production of this work for Germany's most prestigious ballet ensemble, the Berlin State Ballet.

Compelling black-and-white and vibrant color photography capture all stages of pre-production, rehearsal, and performance of this modern interpretation of one of the major pieces of the classical ballet repertoire.
