Rondino, Op. 32, No. 2

Vieuxtemps was regarded as one of the greatest traveling violin virtuosos of the 19th century. He composed many works for violin, especially catchy salon music repertoire like this Rondino, a virtuoso piece with a soulful middle section - a perfect encore!

“This fast-paced and technical showpiece in E Major also includes some sweet melancholy sections. The violinist needs to be comfortable playing in all positions as well as with techniques such as staccato, ricochet, natural and false harmonics, and double, triple, and quadruple stops. This edition contains helpful fingerings, notations for specific techniques, and lots of stylistic notes. A great piece for the advanced violin student looking for a challenge!”--American String Teacher
